PRAY for those in need.

There are many people around the world in need of emergency relief.  In the last week we have witnessed two heart-breaking tragedies; the earthquake in Morocco and the flooding in Libya. 

Tearfund Ireland is not in a position to respond to these emergencies.  Our method of operation is to work through local partners who provide the support on the ground.  At this point, we do not have local partners who are working in either of these regions.

Even though we are not sending funds for the emergency responses, we can still be effective toward the relief efforts.  To that end, we ask you to join us in prayer.  Pray for all who have been affected by the earthquake and the floods; the families who have lost loved ones, communities who have lost neighbours.  Pray for all those who are helping in the aftermath of both tragedies; the first responders and those who are courageously searching for survivors.  Pray for the provision of immediate needs, protection from after-shocks and from disease, and for peace amid grief and loss.
