The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is continuing and has escalated into the neighbouring region of Lebanon. In the past year, more than 41,000 people have died, mostly women and children, and nearly 100,000 have been injured. Over one million people—more than half the population of Gaza—are struggling to access enough food to survive, and nearly half a million people are on the brink of starvation.

Tearfund Ireland is working directly with trusted, established partners and is providing food, clean water, medical care, and other essentials into Gaza.*  We are also continuing to raise funds to provide essential supplies for the worsening humanitarian crisis in southern Lebanon. Over one million people in Lebanon have left their homes to seek a place of shelter and safety, uncertain when they can return home.

Tearfund Ireland, through our international network of Christian humanitarian organisations, has established a partnership with an organisation that delivers medical supplies into emergency situations. In recent months, this partner has delivered essential medicines and supplies for thousands of patients in Gaza. These shipments have included essential medical supplies, such as insulin, essential medicine to stop the spread of infections, including antibiotics and water purification tablets, and medicine for chronic health conditions, including cancer and non-communicable diseases.

In addition, our long-term partners in Lebanon continue working with churches and community leaders to aid those who have fled their homes in Southern Lebanon. This includes providing those displaced with items such as mattresses, blankets, hygiene kits, and food boxes/vouchers.

If you are able, please give what you can.
